OUTFEST LOS ANGELES LGBTQ+ FILM FESTIVAL

Outfest plays a crucial role in amplifying LGBTQ+ stories through film. By showcasing diverse narratives, it fosters understanding and acceptance within the broader community.

OUTFEST FUSION QTBIBOC FILM FESTIVAL

Outfest Fusion was founded in 2004 to spotlight queer and trans filmmakers of color. It exists to directly close and challenge the systemic access gap for LGBTQ+ people of color. Through Outfest Fusion we hope empower the next generation of storytellers to reshape their own narrative and to drive cultural change.

THE LEGACY AWARDS

The Legacy Awards began in 2000 as the Screen Idol Awards. At the time, the awards were a space to honor acting performances in LGBTQ+ roles. The ceremony quickly evolved into a more robust awards event as well as becoming a fundraiser for the Outfest UCLA Legacy Project, which it was renamed to recognize in 2014. Over the years, The Legacy Awards have honored visionary leaders, forward-thinking companies and trailblazing emerging talent alike. Some highlights include Hilary Swank, Armistead Maupin, Victoria Alonso, Tom Hanks, Rita Moreno, Laverne Cox and Michaela Jae Rodriguez.
