Creator, director, writer, producer C. Fitz is a television and marketing veteran who recently has been producing million-hit social media branding wonders. With an extensive background in developing original content and shooting high-end marketing campaigns all over the world, she has become an innovative pioneer in both the entertainment and advertising industries. As a filmmaker her projects often shine a light and celebrate the real heroes in our world Through her creative agency, Dancing Pictures, Fitz has worked with many reputable clients including, HBO, Pepsi, FOX, Disney and Showtime, where she has conceptualized and produced a plethora of international and domestic broadcast and social media campaigns. Early in her career, Fitz was the producer behind the launch of the BRAVO series, "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy," where she helped introduce the innovative new format as an international brand. During her work in the unscripted genre a personal highlight was her tenure as the showrunner on ABC Family's most successful unscripted series, "Knock First". Fitz specializes in running social media celebrity brands that make a difference in the world, while also making some social advertising noise for marketers. Some notable mentions would be: She was the creative producer for "Tiny Hamsters Eating Tiny Burritos" (11 million views on YouTube), and "Best Bus Stop Ever" (4 million views on YouTube), winning Webby Awards in 2014 and 2015, as well as produced the recent "Mad Hatter Surprise" with over 11 million views on Facebook. With her past experience in journalism, Fitz decided to take on one of her longest projects, Jewel's Catch One, uncovering the rich and diverse history of Jewel Thais-Williams' Catch One night club. Originally meeting Thais-Williams while volunteering to direct a 3-minute short for a charity that honored Jewel, Fitz knew her story needed more screen time. Its been a 6 years journey with her hope that viewers will see Jewel's Catch One, and be inspired by Jewel's perseverance, healing and activism to make the world a better place. As many say, "If we had more Jewel's it would be a better world", and that was the inspiration to create this film.
