Director's Statement

This is an animation I decided to make because I felt that the whole story wasn’t told by the song alone. Champion was made to be a statement. If I’m being completely honest, by celebrating the love I have been experiencing with my girlfriend so loudly, I wanted to directly challenge people who have said that same sex love making lacked the wholeness and diversity of sex with the opposite sex. I’m someone who has experienced a whole lot of both.Through this experience, I arrived at the conclusion that maybe love making, for me, has less to do with one’s genitalia and has everything to with soul connection. It’s that connection that inspires trust, creativity, flow, and the ultimate let go into Euphoria.
