Qualifications and Experience: Internship candidates must possess strong writing and phone skills; must be self-motivated, positive, and well-organized team players. Computer knowledge is required, including but not limited to: Internet research, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel. Internship Specifications: Outfest requires a minimum commitment of 10-20 hours a week, between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. Internship schedules are variable, and each intern will work with the department supervisor to build a schedule that works and also meets the needs of the department. All Outfest internships may be eligible for college credit. Available Internships: Graphic Design Intern Graphic Design will assist Individual Giving Coordinator, Corporate Relations Manager and Communications Coordinator with design and creation of marketing campaign materials for all of Outfest’s core programs (including Outfest Los Angeles, Outfest Fusion, Legacy Awards, and Outfest Forward) as well as assisting with the fulfillment of sponsorship activations. The intern will also create unique designs for upcoming events that will be featured on the Outfest website, related social networks, and mass emails. This is a great opportunity to gain exposure in both non-profit and LGBT community. graphic design intern will also receive hands-on experience in all aspects of messaging, public relations and brand marketing. New Media intern responsibilities include helping build & maintain e-communication, maintain weekly e-communication stats, updating website(s), assisting with maintaining social media platforms, and general office responsibilities.
