Producer Luka Fisher reached out to me to help bring Daniel Crook's vision for "Lavender" to life. Not only is Crook an amazing musician, but he is a talented visual artist in his own right. I did my best to help realize his vision for a film that is both complex and very personal. In Crook's ownwords: "Lavender is a tale of lovers, united by attraction but distressed with the physical and moral limitations imposed on them by their own gender identities; it is their questions that inform their dance, both wild abandon and innate conflict reflect back and forth off of them in the vast emptyspace while the menstrual divine attempts to guide them back to themselves and to love."
