Aaron Brookner's tribute to his late uncle Howard Brookner, an acclaimed director who lost his life to AIDS in 1989, brims with affection for both his talented relative and a bygone era of New York City. Archival and interview footage, featuring artists from Jim Jarmusch and Andy Warhol to Laurie Anderson and Madonna, chronicles Aaron's search for the lost negative of his uncle's film BURROUGHS: THE MOVIE (also screening at Outfest Los Angeles) while Aaron finds purpose in celebrating a man who died far too young.
