Picking up where his acclaimed 2003 debut TARNATION left off, director Jonathan Caouette returns to Texas to retrieve his mentally ill mother Renee from a neglectful nursing home and bring her home with him to New York. But soon after they hit the road, Renee's fragile stability begins to threaten their entire journey. Caouette draws on his immense archive of home movies to honor his mom's resilience in the face of her troubles.
