Way before “Ugly Betty,” actor Michael Urie honed his high school thespian skills by competing in the little-known world of Dramatic Interpretation, a contest in which students act out short pieces, playing all the parts without props, costumes - or a net. Urie and co-director Sean Fornara follow a current group of young Interp-ers to debate tournaments all over Texas and meet the students, patient parents and hard-working faculty who make these intriguing, hilarious and often moving performances possible.
