Panels
(90 mins)
It's been eight long years since the second Bush administration installed itself in the White House, helping to bring about one of the most tumultuous eras in the LGBT community's political history. We've been demonized and exploited by the right, as several Outfest films can attest, but have also made historic leaps forward on the state level. Now on the eve of the 2008 presidential election, with issues like “Don't Ask, Don't Tell” and marriage equality set to return to the table, moderator Kyle Buchanan (writer for The Advocate) and panelists will tackle where we are politically and what's at stake for the next four years.
Moderator: Kyle Buchanan (Film Critic, The Advocate) Jeremy Bernard (Obama Campaign Fundraiser and LGBT Liason, B&G Associates) Dan Butler (Co-Director/Co-Writer/Actor, KARL ROVE, I LOVE YOU) Rick Jacobs (Chair and Founder, The Courage Campaign) Senator Sheila Kuehl (California State Senator, District 23) For ticketing information please phone 213-480-7065 or email boxoffice@outfest.org Powered by The tix/SYS Box Office Management System and synercom/edi |
