Outfest is extremely proud to be closing our 25th anniversary festival with the world premiere of the first film to be completed from the Outfest Screenwriting Lab. Ty Lieberman's script, a hilarious exposé on marriage, is keenly actualized by visionary director C. Jay Cox (LATTER DAYS).

Matt (Philipp Karner), a magazine executive, is in the midst of producing a big gay wedding issue when he learns that his high school sweetheart, Ryan (James O'Shea), is about to get hitched to bodacious Alex (Tori Spelling). It's been 10 years since he fled his hometown, but Matt returns to rescue Ryan from making a dire mistake. He arrives during Alex's bachelorette party, is mistaken for a stripper and the fun begins!

Matt's attempts to rekindle his old flame with Ryan, while striking up a close friendship with Alex, prove a comic goldmine. As the wedding day approaches, the past collides with the present, unearthing a host of secrets that ultimately leads each character to discover what's right and true for him, for her - and for them.

With an excellent supporting cast including Tess Harper, Joanna Cassidy and Amber Benson, KISS THE BRIDE is the kind of side-splitting comedy whose undercurrent of social commentary illuminates while it entertains.
