To prevent our community’s films from being lost or forgotten, the Outfest Legacy Project is educating audiences and filmmakers about moving image archiving and preservation. From home movies to feature films, it is our responsibility and that of our community to ensure that our collective voices never fade away. To play our part, we’re conducting panels and events with industry professionals and filmmakers, sharing information about preservation and storage and working with organizations such as Sundance to spread the word. We have at our disposal the tools and knowledge to secure LGBT images for future generations.

Offers low-cost and no-cost suggestions on how to care for film collections.

Focuses on preservation of new media.
