The north and south bound lanes 405 freeway between the 101 to the 10 will be closed for 53 hours from midnight Friday, July 15 until 8am Monday, July 18. This will cause considerable overflow traffic in Los Angeles that weekend - primarily on the 101 freeway and passes such as Coldwater, Mulholland and Laurel Canyon. (*LA Metro Red and Purple Line subways and the Orange Line busway will be free for all riders July 16 and 17)
Please note the REDCAT is conveniently located off the Civic Center Red Line Station in Downtown Los Angeles.
The Red Line also goes to Hollywood and Highland Station, just 1.2 miles from the Ford Amphitheatre and 2 miles from the DGA
From the Hollywood and Highland station you can take either the 156 and 656 bus, both of which will take you directly to the Ford Amphitheatre. You can also take a taxi or walk the 1.2 miles from Hollywood and Highland to the Ford Amphitheatre!
Coming from the valley? Take the Red Line to Universal Studios station where you can catch a FREE shuttle to the Ford Amphitheater leaving every 20 minutes.
From the Hollywood and Highland station you can also take the 217 directly to the DGA.
