OUTFEST
HONORS
A
SPECTACULAR LIVE PERFORMANCE TO BENEFIT OUTFEST
HONORING
BRUCE VILANCH AND MTV
Wednesday,
July 17, 8:00 pm

With Special
Appearances by Andy Dick, Carol Leifer, Kathy Griffin, Michael Feinstein,
Hal Sparks and Hennie Vilanch (Bruce's mom)!
A gala evening
of laughter, song and surprises at the Directors Guild of America celebrating
of two champions of progressive change for their profound contributions
to gay and lesbian visibility and their committed support of OUTFEST.
BRUCE VILANCH
is among the countrys best-known humorists and one of the hardest-working
men in show business. He has written material for Bette, Billy, Whoopi
and Robin. He has written every awards show from Oscar to Tony to Grammy
to OUTFESTs own Awards Night - where, incidentally, he tells a few
jokes that might not make it past the network censors (see page 10). Everybodys
favorite Hollywood Square is also one of the most widely recognized gay
men in America whose contribution to this community is as legendary and
as large as his trademark T-shirt collection. Bruce Vilanch's OUTFEST
Honors will be presented to him by his mother, Hennie Vilanch.
MTV
has redefined popular culture over the last 20 years, shaping global trends
and changing the face of the music industry itself. With an enormous audience
of young people around the world, MTV has also presented some of the most
radical and accurate representations of gay and lesbian lives to the most
people of any media company. From the still resonating story of Pedro
Zamora to every subsequent season of The Real World to the
Fight for Your Rights campaign, MTV has brought our experiences
into the homes of countless millions of people. MTVs OUTFEST Honors
will be presented to Brian Graden, President of Entertainment for
MTV and VH1 by Andy Dick.

adventure with a two-night stay in London in a luxury apartment in Kensington
courtesy of London Guest Suites. Then hop on a train and shoot
through the Chunnel to France with your 14-day First Class Eurail Pass
from Rail Europe. Stop in the City of Lights for three unforgettable
nights at the Four Seasons Hotel George V Paris, rated Travel and
Leisure Magazine's best hotel in the world for 2001. Then it's off to
the south of France for five nights of pampering and southern hospitality
at L'Orangerie villa, the newest addition to Big Ruby's Guesthouse,
one of the most popular and well regarded gay guesthouse chains in the
world. This incredible villa (recommended by last year's OUTFEST auction
winner as the best place he has ever stayed in his life) is located in
a walled 13th century village, unchanged by time, near the Mediterranean
coast. After this, if you still haven't had enough, head back to Paris,
for 2 nights at the Villa Beaumarchais, a 4-star boutique hotel
from Les Hôtels de Paris, located in the heart of the gay
Marais district. You see what I mean? This package is to pee for!
Cruise
Control -- Explore the Mediterranean as you have only dreamed aboard
a luxury yacht for 14 days courtesy Seabourn Cruise Line, whose
intimate ships and uncompromising luxury will make you feel like you're
Jackie Onassis being pampered by Aristotle himself. An Exclusively Seabourn®

custom-designed for you to impart a unique, insider's perspective, punctuates
virtually all cruises. For example, if you choose to explore the Aegean
Sea, you might experience the ultimate private cocktail party in the following
amazing archeological wonder.
In the
evening when the ancient site of Ephesus on the coast of
Turkey is closed to visitors, you will be transported back in time
to the height of the Roman Empire as "Ephesians" bearing
cornucopia
overflowing with fruits greet you at the entrance. A torch
light procession via the ancient harbor road that once resounded
with the footsteps of leaders such as Anthonyand Cleopatra
ensues before reaching the Town Square. An abundance of wine,
cocktails and canapés awaits while a chamber group plays
classical music and you and your Cleo or Tony soak in the
ambiance as it must have been thousands of years ago.
Dozens of
opportunities like this abound throughout your Mediterranean journey,
making this a once in a lifetime magical experience. From Greece, Turkey,
