Jonathon Aubry Appointed Development Director
Jonathon Aubry has been appointed Development Director of OUTFEST, the largest film festival in Southern California and the largest arts and culture event for the gay and lesbian community in the region, it was
announced by Stephen Gutwillig, Executive Director.
In his position, which is effective immediately, Aubry will oversee corporate, individual, foundation and government fundraising for the 21 year-old media arts organization.
Aubry most recently handled all the film and television marketing and advertising for LPI Media, publisher of The Advocate and Out magazines. He previously served for three years as Development Director of MIX: The
New York Experimental Gay and Lesbian Film Festival.
"We are enormously excited to have Jonathon in Los Angeles, heading our development department," said Gutwillig. "He brings tremendous knowledge and savvy about corporate involvement in the gay and lesbian community as well as experience in the film festival world. That's a valuable combination, and we’re lucky to have Jonathon onboard."
OUTFEST is a leading showcase for diverse, international gay and lesbian film and video. More than 200 feature and short films, at least seven venues and attendance of nearly 40,000 people make OUTFEST the largest film festival in Southern California. Since 1982, OUTFEST has presented 3,500 film and video titles for audiences of nearly half a million people.
