This is my third year programming Fusion. I love programming this one of a kind festival. We are the only festival that focuses on queer people of color, which makes selecting the programs a labor of love. As a programmer I am committed to making spaces for talented queer filmmakers of color to share their work. So many logistical considerations go into programming a festival, and with Fusion one of the great joys has been seeing the work produced in our community and watching filmmakers blossom. I have grown as a programmer over these past few years with Fusion and have had the spectacular opportunity to get to know Fusion filmmakers and film lovers in our community.

I began programming Fusion alongside our former Director of Programming Kim Yutani, it was an honor to be able to learn from her quiet genius. Now I have the great pleasure of working with the new Director of Programming KP whose style and expertise is magnetic. The films, the filmmakers, the community, the staff, and volunteers make Fusion a remarkable event in my life. I look forward to March and to seeing all of the beautiful members of our Fusion family.
